8 Plitvice Lakes (Croatia) 
The beauty of this network of 16 lakes connected by waterfalls is evidenced by its inclusion in the World Heritage by UNESCO. Legend gave Plitvice Lakes the nickname "Devil's Playground" area was flooded by a black queen after a long drought and fervent prayers of the people. Limestone caves and travertine punctuate the landscape where thick forests along the upper lakes.

Snow lovers come between November and March. The lakes are frozen in December and January. They are open daily all year from 8 am to about 19h.

9 Vikos Gorge (Greece) 
At the heart of the National Park of Vikos-AOOS in Epirus, in a landscape of canyons rivers, the Vikos Gorge form a spectacular cut of 12 km long, with depths exceeding 1,000 m in places. Beautiful Ottoman bridges line the bed of Vikos, basically. We admire this amazing canyon from above, from the villages and viewpoints overlooking the cliffs, or down, with good shoes. Hiking in the gorge is the most popular in mainland Greece.

10 Sossusvlei (Namibia) 
At the heart of the Namib Desert, the vast landscapes of sand are constantly reworked by wind. The highest dunes in the world, up to 300 meters, line up here in the great outdoors of the Namib-Naukluft Park on more than 480 km along the coast, going deep into the land. Offering all the orange and ocher shades, the oldest dunes owe their color to centuries of iron oxidation. In a wetland fed by sea haze live lizards and beetles.

The nearest accommodation is camping Sesriem, an hour's drive (60 km) of Sossuvlei. The visit is allowed only from dawn to dusk.
