THE PUEBLO ESPAÑOL - POBLE ESPANYOL BARCELONA

Montjuïc is home to this unique space created on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of 1929, where you can combine art, entertainment and culture.

This place located in the city of Barcelona can be considered a synthesis of the various monuments found in the villages of Spain. As a true urban collage, its 49,000 square meters pedestrian collect representative examples of popular Spanish architecture. Its some 117 buildings reproduced life-size form a kind of ideal model of Spanish village containing the main characteristics of each region. Any walk according to its streets and squares becomes a kind of journey through all parts of Spain. It does not hurt, its many bars and restaurants allow visitors to experience the typical Spanish cuisine.

However, this site holds many more surprises, since it is an active center of entertainment, culture and crafts. One can find the largest concentration of artisans in the Iberian Peninsula. Not only can you buy crafts, but also learn to develop products through workshops and family activities organized every weekend. The leisure offer includes storytellers, parades, puppet shows and concerts. The sculpture garden outside or the contemporary art collection of the Fondation Fran Daurel are other exciting possibilities in the heart of Pueblo Español.
